چکیده

ObjectiveThis review aims to explore key aspects related the treatment of gingival recession defects (GRD) and sites lacking keratinized gingiva in orthodontic patients. It focuses on five crucial core aspects: 1) risk assessment for GRD development; 2) diagnosis, characteristics, dilemma surrounding necessity; 3) evolution root coverage procedures significance modifying soft tissue phenotype margin stability; 4) development progression recessions patients; 5) staging periodontal therapies; specifically, consideration preemptive modification (STPM) or GRD.Overview ConclusionsThe management with a thin mucosal phenotype, as well treatment, should be guided by positioning tooth within alveolar bone envelope phenotype. In cases where is (< 1 mm), without GRD, it advisable perform augmentation (PMT) prior if located envelope. Conversely, positioned outside housing, movement employed reposition housing before any procedure performed. Research has demonstrated negative correlation between position coverage, whereas repositioning shown two-fold positive effect: improving tissues reducing eliminating defect, enhancing implementation wound healing dynamics procedures.

Mucogingival pouch flap for sandwich bone augmentation: technique and rationale.

This article introduces a novel flap design, mucogingival pouch flap (MPF), to enhance the clinical outcome of sandwich bone augmentation. MPF uses a pouch flap reflection via mucogingival junction extension incisions to provide an improved graft retention, minimized membrane exposure, preserved papilla dimension, and soft tissue camouflage for improved esthetics. There are 4 implant-associated...
